Teaching is hard. You're doing a wonderful job.
Who are you?
-I’m recent graduate looking for for a full time Elementary Education position.
Why did you do this?
-I’ve learned the incredible benefit of a supportive environment as I’ve begun my journey into the world of education, so I created this page. Teaching is an incredibly rewarding and sometimes painful profession whose hardworking individuals are often in need of encouragement and a simple reminder that they are not alone. You can check the notes to see other people that find this content funny, helpful, or interesting enough to like or reblog. I encourage you all to reach out to fellow teachers, educators, and people in the field. Networking can make a dramatic difference in how we feel about our craft.
Why don’t you reply to messages?
-In order to keep the page on topic, I try to only post relevant material. If you send me a message, I either have to publish or I have to reply using my personal information and this page isn’t about me. It’s about you. I appreciate all of the love and support I’ve gotten in my inbox and I hope you know how much I love you all!
Can I submit content?
-Yes! I highly encourage submissions and love hearing from you! You can submit an image with text or just text through Tumblr or scroll down for further contact information. Also, please make sure the font is clear and legible or I can’t post it!
Why didn’t my submission make it to the site?
-If you submit an image and the font is hard to read, it probably will not get posted. Also, if the content is too specific, features inappropriate content, or is similar to a previous post, it may not make the cut.
Why is everyone so young, white, or straight-female oriented?
- This page was born from the Hey Girl, Ryan Gosling Meme, so the format stays mostly the same. I do, however, do my best to diversify and add in celebrities and quotes as requested.
How do I contact you?
-You can contact me through the “Ask” tab on Tumblr, follow me on Twitter @Heygirlteacher, on facebook, or email me at heygirlteacher@gmail.com
